More is not better. Better is better. I’m not simply talking about the technical aspects of a great image. I’m talking about the why behind the what. Why do you want to photograph this project? What will you do with the photos? What story will they tell?
Outstanding architectural images are carefully crafted and curated to create high-impact, artistic compositions that capture the structural elements and fine details beautifully and accurately. For me, this approach defines architectural photography. Creating magazine-quality images is not a run-and-gun approach. It doesn’t happen by accident. My favorite projects are collaborations between my clients and me. I have a process that begins with questions to understand why this project is essential to you, the design challenges solved, and the design elements you are proud of most. Often, we collaborate onsite during the photoshoot to cover every detail of every shot.

I prefer to collaborate with my clients on the shot selections to ensure we capture the images that mirror the story they want to tell about their project. This approach often includes a walk-thru of the project in advance. Creating magazine-quality photos is not enough. It’s simply a starting point. I strive to learn more about your project to carefully craft and curate image compositions that tell a compelling story so that you and your marketing and business development team can use the images as evidence of your project success in presentations and proposal responses win future projects.
